"Very good" is the evaluation of the BIKE magazine. Conclusion of the testers for our CLAY: "A steady bike with reserves for wild trail rides, almost a mini-enduro. Super equipment and low weight."
FREERIDE Magazine 03/2017

BIKE Magazin 11/2017 - Reader test
"The LAST is confident and cuts an excellent figure on the trail. The geometry has convinced me absolutely." says Andreas Wendt in BIKE Magazine. The reader test was inspired by the question which of todays trends can proove to be advantageous. Our geometry with short chain stays, slack head angle and long front center conceived the testers.
MTB News 10/2017
Preferred bike among the editors in the comparison test: "With the Clay LAST have created a little, very playful brother to their enduro bike Coal. The very good rear suspension can rival many enduro bikes. If you like winding trails and get airborne, will find an agile companion in the LAST CLAY. If you need reserves in emergency situations the bike will offer more then you expect of a 140 mm bike."
Mountainbike Rider Magazine 02/2017
"The bike is serious fun on the trails and let´s you fly down the track. ... especially the ones that like to changeover the trail into a playground with many small jumps will love the Clay."
For air shocks the pressure should be adjusted in a way that results in 30% sag, read at the shock. Typically this is possible for rider weights up to 125 kg, without exceeding the recommended max. pressure of the shock.
The table presents the recommended spring rate for coil shocks. These might vary depending on the setup of the compression damping circuit setting of the shock and the riding style. Again we recommend to set sag at 30% of the shock stroke.

To describe the intended use of this bike we use the bike classification according to ASTM. The allowed modes of operation are designated to categories and these are described below. We engineer the bikes to withstand the loads that can be expected for the category they are designed for. This includes real world and lab tests. The usage of a bike in a higher category is dangerous and not allowed.
The CLAY complete bike is designated to category 3. The CLAY frame can be used under conditions of category 4. By switching several parts of the complete bike spec the CLAY completes can be used under conditions of category 4. Please get in touch with us to discuss which configuration suits your needs. This way we can make you a custom offer suited precisely to your needs.
Using different components may result in a lower (or higher) classification.
